Industry professionals say that the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation is the "Ph.D." of Residential Real Estate, and that is probably the case. The National Association of Realtors has similar regulations and lengthy course of study for the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) program. It is an involved and exhaustive course of study, and expands the real estate practitioners skills and knowledge.
