(REBAC) of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS (NAR). The CRS Designation was created by the Residential Sales Council of the National Association of REALTORS to provide home buyers and sellers with an easy way to identify the top REALTORS in America. There are currently about 33,000 Certified Residential Specialists in the United States - the top five percent of all REALTORS in the country. The requirements for earning the CRS Designation are very demanding, yet those requirements ensure that a CRS brings a variety of qualities to the table in a residential real estate transaction, including:

• A history of demonstrated sales performance
• Commitment to providing the finest service available to people involved in the home buying or selling process
• The most current, up-to-date information available on issues that affect home buyers and sellers

Certified Residential Specialists are required to be current members in the national, state and local association of REALTORS, they have insight into trends, market conditions and knowledge that is essential in assisting Buyers and Sellers in the home buying or selling process. Certified Residential Specialists put in years of hard work and study to be able to put the Designation after their name.
